Special Thanks to Presenting Sponsor, TECO

Members of the Hillsborough legislative delegation joined the Chamber on Wednesday to discuss the 2015 session and Chamber initiatives. In attendance were Representatives Janet Cruz, Shawn Harrison, Dan Raulerson, Darryl Rouson, Ross Spano and Dana Young, and Senators Tom Lee and John Legg.

As a panel moderated by Chamber Chair Ron Christaldi, the elected officials spoke about healthcare expansion, ride sharing, the funding of USF's medical school in downtown Tampa and the special session that will convene on Monday, June 1. Many offered their personal views on the unusual end to session and what they hope to accomplish when they return to Tallahassee in two weeks. Despite their differences on issues, the delegation emphasized their ability to work together for the greater good of Tampa Bay. All of the members look forward to working on a budget that both the Florida House and Senate can agree upon.To view photos from the event, visit our Facebook page.
