The Chamber is now accepting nominations for the awards given at the 2015 Military Appreciation Banquet, including the Bob Cutler Volunteer Award and the Business Partner of the Year Award. To nominate a person or business for one of the following categories, please complete each section of the nomination form. Any endorsements the nominator feels will help the selection committee in its deliberations are welcome. All community activities during 2014 should be mentioned.

Nominations Now Being Accepted for the H.L. Culbreath, Jr. Profile in Leadership Award
The H.L. Culbreath, Jr. Profile in Leadership Award was created in 1997 to annually recognize an individual whose leadership has made a positive impact on the Greater Tampa community. Named in honor of its first recipient, a man whose civic philanthropy and service personified leadership, the award has quickly become the area's most prestigious honor.
This award, established by Leadership Tampa Alumni, will be presented at the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce's Annual Meeting, December 18 at the Tampa Convention Center. It recognizes leadership in a variety of forms such as civic, cultural, economic, charitable, recreational and education. Click here to nominate a deserving community leader today.
Support Operation: REVEILLE
Initiative Aims to End Homelessness for Veterans
On November 11, 2014, at Port Tampa Bay, the Tampa Hillsborough Homeless Initiative, along with the City of Tampa and Hillsborough County, will launch Operation: REVEILLE-Tampa/Hillsborough County, an initiative to rapidly re-house 50 homeless veterans into permanent supportive housing.
In one day's time, this initiative will bring together Comrades from federal, state and local government agencies, faith-based organizations, housing providers, non-profit agencies and businesses to connect 50 homeless veterans to permanent supportive housing, intensive case management, employment services, job training, legal assistance, mental health services, substance abuse treatment, social security, veterans benefits, financial counseling, health care, household supplies and other services. Florida Hospital Tampa unveiled its new Emergency Room and ICU Tower on October 23 during a VIP "sneak peak." In early November, Florida Hospital Tampa will open the doors to a new model of ER care, with a new state-of-the-art emergency room two times larger than the current ER.
Majesty Title, a full service title agency, continues to grow as it opened its new office in North Tampa now servicing surrounding area communities.
Tijuana Flats, the "anything goes" approach to fresh food options with wall art and a hot sauce bar, is now open at 1617 W. Platt Street in Tampa.
