Tampa Chamber hosts Governor Rick Scott's visit with local business leaders
The Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce hosted Governor Rick Scott's visit with local business leaders on Thursday, January 9. Over 50 business leaders discussed business issues with the Governor, covering topics such as transportation, Medicaid expansion and flood insurance. Governor Scott's visit coincided with the release of the Chamber's 2014 State Legislative Agenda, available here. Read full press release here.
International Holocaust Remembrance Day

The Tampa Bay Consular Corp, part of the Tampa Bay Trade and Protocol Council will host an event on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at 3 p.m. in honor of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day. Mayor Buckhorn will also be on hand to deliver a proclamation and participate in the ceremony. We are hiring! The Chamber is currently accepting resumes for the following positions:

  • Applicants for the Executive Assistant to the President & CEO must also submit two writing samples: an email to a C-suite executive requesting a meeting with the President & CEO and a thank you letter from the President & CEO to a new Chamber investor.
  • Applicants for the Government Relations Coordinator position must also include two writing samples (minimum of 250 words on any subject).
  • Applicants for the Program/Administrative Coordinator position must include two writing samples (a thank you letter to a sponsor of a signature event and an email to a c-level executive of a prospective member requesting a meeting to discuss membership).
Candidates who do not submit all of the requested documentation will not be considered. No phone calls please. Due to the anticipated number of inquiries, we regret that we cannot respond to all applicants.
