Women's Series Luncheon: It's a Woman's World

Join us for an interactive Q&A panel with the women who have taken charge of the Chamber! We'll welcome three of our past Chamber Chairs as well as our new 2014 Chair for the chance to have a candid discussion with these powerful and influential women. They will provide insight on how to become leaders in the community, and fill us in on their tips and tricks for making your way to the top in the corporate world.

Interested in Joining the Golf Tournament Committee?

Are you interested in joining a Chamber committee? The Annual Golf Tournament is on May 12th and the planning committee is about to kick off its efforts later this month. Joining the committee is a great way to meet other Chamber members in a more relaxed and informal setting. Do You Know How to Register Online for Our Events?
 
As we embark on a new year, we want to make sure that registering for events is as simple for our members as possible! Online registration is quick and easy, and ensures that we have your accurate email address associated with your registration (thus allowing us to keep you up-to-date with event updates, changes and reminders). If you've never used our website to register online, below are a few tips on navigating the process:
  • Go to www.tampachamber.com
  • Click on "Member Login" on the upper right hand corner.
  • Use your username and password to log in. Each employee at a Chamber member company has a unique username and password to access our website and register for events online. If you do not know your username or password, please click here to have it emailed to you.
  • From here, you can go to our Events Calendar to register for any upcoming events.
  • Click on "Member Registration," enter number of registrants, and continue to select attendee names.
  • "Check out" to purchase or apply Member Benefits.
  • Enter Credit Card information or select benefits to apply from the drop down menu.
  • You should receive email confirmation of your registration!
  • You will receive a reminder of your registration the day before the event.
2014 Legislative Agenda

The Chamber recognizes its responsibility to represent our 1,200 members in the legislative process. An integral component of the Chamber's mission is to communicate the views of the business community to our elected policy makers. The Chamber is continuing its focus on job creation as a means to overall economic stimulation. With this core mission in mind, the Chamber has identified the following legislative priorities that will advance this focus while supporting a more business-oriented environment. Click here for the 2014 Legislative Agenda.

  • Applicants for the Executive Assistant to the President & CEO must also submit two writing samples: an email to a C-suite executive requesting a meeting with the President & CEO and a thank you letter from the President & CEO to a new Chamber investor.
  • Applicants for the Government Relations Coordinator position must also include two writing samples (minimum of 250 words on any subject).
  • Applicants for the Program/Administrative Coordinator position must include two writing samples (a thank you letter to a sponsor of a signature event and an email to a c-level executive of a prospective member requesting a meeting to discuss membership).
Candidates who do not submit all of the requested documentation will not be considered. No phone calls please. Due to the anticipated number of inquiries, we regret that we cannot respond to all applicants.

Get Connected

Effective December 1, 2013, BDG Architects, Tampa, FL and PKA Architects, Birmingham, AL are uniting architectural practices to expand client relationships beyond the Southeast. The combination of these two firms will create a much stronger regional presence beyond the eastern U.S. into the Midwest and Texas.
The law firm of Adams and Reese, as part of its annual holiday giving initiative to philanthropic agencies across the firm's footprint, donated $2,000 to Feeding America Tampa Bay. Adams and Reese Tampa office Partner in Charge Louis Ursini presented the check to Thomas Mantz, Executive Director of Feeding America Tampa Bay. The United Nations designated January 27 as the official International Holocaust commemoration day inline with the day allied forces liberated the concentration camps. The Consular Corps of Tampa Bay will be hosting the International Holocaust Commemoration on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at the Italian Club, Ybor City, to honor the 6 million Jews who fell in the Nazi era.
