Minding Your Business Testimonial: Debbie Lundberg, Presenting Powerfully
Whether it is a small or large business that has been in Tampa Bay for a long time or a short while, the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce offers resources, events and opportunities to engage, learn, grow and give back!
"Over 5 years ago, as my business was moving from a start-up into a full launch, I joined the Chamber. As a solopreneur, I quickly got involved in attending events after getting acclimated at the orientation. The Chamber provided offerings that my small business members and some individuals who served on the board for the Chamber. Being involved in committees was a way to learn more and really participate in programming and offerings. I was fortunate to chair a committee and partner with the staff to bring in other speakers and offerings for, and through, the Chamber.
After making personal and professional connections, I spent more time at the Chamber. From there, I was asked to serve on the Board and on the Executive Committee. I have been a Mentor in the Mentor-Protege program the past few years, spoken at an Emerge event, and been a part of various Benchmarking trips and Leadership retreats. I continued to contribute to the small business programs and small business of the year efforts, and appreciate the fact that the processes continually get tweaked and refined for the members. Additionally, as a Leadership Tampa Alumni member, it is through activities, connecting with others who live, work and play in and around Tampa Bay, and really being immersed in the community, that I say thank you to the Chamber, and look forward to what is next as well!"
