Introducing the #ilovetampa Movement!
Our community has much to be proud of - great people, a rich history, and a wonderful story to tell...and who better to tell it than YOU! The #ilovetampa movement is about showcasing what you love most about Tampa- in pictures, videos and/or words. Tampa is a growing community and what better way to attract even more popularity than utilizing social media and starting a movement! The Chamber encourages you, your businesses and the community to include #ilovetampa in all your social media postings that involve anything Tampa!
To kick things off, let's start with a little competition! Between now and July 18, share your best #ilovetampa videos or photos with the Chamber! You can submit videos via Vine or Instagram using the hashtag #ilovetampa. Photos can be submitted via Facebook, Instagram and/or Twitter, also using the hashtag #ilovetampa. You can also send photos and YouTube videos to kcurls@tampachamber.com. The person with the best #ilovetampa photo will receive two tickets to our upcoming Women's Series Luncheon, video winner will receive two tickets to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers luncheon.  Registra tion is now open for the 2013 Benchmarking Visit, our annual exploration of another up and coming metropolitan area. The 2013 trip will take us to Nashville, Tennessee on October 7-9. The in-depth program will introduce you to every facet of Nashville including downtown redevelopment, branding, arts and culture, entrepreneurship, innovation and much more. Chamber wins National Award for Communications Excellence!
The Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce has received an Award of Excellence in a national competition sponsored by the American Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE), a national association of professionals who manage chambers of commerce.
The Chamber received the award for the TampaMediaCenter.com website and campaign launched in advance of the 2012 Republican National Convention to introduce the media and visitors to local businesses and institutions. Schifino Lee, a branding and advertising agency designed the website for the Chamber. Click here for more info.

Recap: Competitive Edge Series with Moez Limayem
We had another packed house this Tuesday at our monthly Competitive Edge Series! This month featured Moez Limayem, Dean of the University of South Florida College of Business. Dean Limayem shared his insight and expertise on data analytics. Attendees learned how analyzing data and allowing it to tell a story can help companies from all different industries gain a competitive edge on innovation and creativity.
We had a great run of spring Competitive Edge Series programs with amazing speakers! We are taking a quick break in July but returning in August with exciting topics.
