Chamber Announces 2013 Golf Tournament Winners!

 More than 100 players joined us at the 2013 Chamber Golf Tournament on Monday, presented by Bay Cities Bank and T-Cellular. All tournament proceeds benefited the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce Foundation, which supports the Chamber's educational and leadership programs.

Save the Date: 10th Annual Florida-Japan SummitLearn about the exchange of information regarding our Business, Education, and Cultural ties The 10th Annual Florida - Japan Summit will be held in Tampa on June 7 at the University of South Florida. As a Southeast U.S. Japan State, it is imperative that Tampa Bay highlight what is important in Florida, in regards to our relationship with Japan, and report these findings during the meeting with TN, NC, SC, GA, FL, MS, AL, LA in Biloxi, Mississippi in November 2013. These states will also be holding their meetings during the early summer. We encourage you to attend this event and network with officials from Japan and around the State of Florida. Celebrate the Centennial of the World's First Airline
Almost 100 years ago, on January 1, 1914, a small plane lifted from the water in St. Petersburg's downtown with just one passenger. Twenty-three minutes later the plane landed in Tampa, thus launching the world's first regularly scheduled commercial airline flight.That first New Year's Day flight heralded what we have since come to know as "The Birth of The Global Airline Industry."
The Flight 2014 Planning Board is raising funds to support the celebrations. Funds will be used to support exhibits, educational programs, and costs associated with the reenactment of the First Airline Flight on New Year's Day, 2014. For more information, please visit www.stpete.com/Flight2014.
