On January 9, 2013, The Chamber hosted a special reception and networking event that provided the opportunity for local business leaders to mingle with key members of the Hillsborough County Legislative Delegation. Chamber Public Policy committee co-chairs Vincent Cassidy and Lee Nelson addressed the importance of expressing issues to the local delegation before the Legislative Session begins on March 5 and facilitated the release of the Chamber's legislative agenda for the year. Leadership Tampa Raises $47,000 for MOSI Partnership SchoolFundraising Efforts Provide First-Ever Playground to Tampa Elementary School!
 This year, the Leadership Tampa graduating class of 2012 had a philanthropic goal to help the hundreds of current and future students at the MOSI Partnership School have a chance to enjoy an on-site school playground. After a year of fundraising efforts, Leadership Tampa recently presented the school with a $47,000 check to build this playground.
