Digital Rochester's 2016 Technology Woman of the Year Award
Award recognizes and celebrates women in high technology fields
|
Rochester, N.Y. - Digital Rochester's 2016 Technology Woman of the Year (TWY) Award Breakfast will celebrate 14 female nominees this year, with one woman taking home the honor of being recognized as the 2016 Technology Woman of the Year. The award was established to recognize, celebrate, and make visible the achievements of women in high technology fields. The awards breakfast will take place Thursday, April 21 at Casa Larga Vineyards starting at 7:30 a.m.
The Technology Woman of the Year Award seeks out women in the Rochester area who have contributed to the technology profession, advancing the status and opportunities for women in technology and given back to the community. Through this award, women who work in STEM (science, technology, engineering, or math) professions are encouraged to stay in the Greater Rochester area, mentor young women, and contribute to the economic growth of the region.
This year's TWY ceremony will begin with a keynote address by Jill S. Tietjen, P.E., President and CEO at Technically Speaking Inc. Tietjen will talk to the audience about Reaching Your Goals! The Keys Are Passion, Determination and Persistence. Following the keynote, this year's 14 nominees will be recognized and reveal the winner of the 2016 Technology Woman of the Year award will be revealed.
The Technology Woman of the Year Award Breakfast will take place Thursday, April 21 at 7:30 a.m. at Casa Larga Vineyards, 2287 Turkhill Road, Fairport, N.Y. 14450.
