Rochester, NY - Digital Rochester's (DR) tenth Technology Career Fair will offer job seekers in the technology industry, and those familiar with the industry, the chance to talk to Rochester companies who are hiring and to attend educational seminars.

Companies exhibiting at the fair include Entre Computer Services, Innovative Solutions, Rochester Software Associates, Skillsoft, Superior Group, Soleo and Sutherland Global. Open positions include everything from Software Engineer and Data Scientist to Technical Instructor, Security Researcher/Developer and Network Support Technician. Past participants of DR's Technology Career Fairs have commented that they meet a caliber of candidate unlike those at other events. They also report hiring qualified candidates in a variety of disciplines - not just technology jobs - as a direct result of the event.
In addition to the company exhibits, four short educational seminars are planned. Each of the seminars is a 15 minute panel discussion and 15 minutes of questions from the audience. Topics include higher education, recruiting and social media.
The first breakout session, Making Recruiters Your Best Friend, will begin at 3:30 p.m. and include a panel of local recruiting experts. They will discuss the best ways to engage with recruiters including building trust, focusing your career search and ways to make a recruiter your advocate.
At 4:30 p.m., a panel of educators and students will discuss the decision to return to school in Back to School. They will discuss decision-making criteria, challenges and personal success in going back for further education and in going back for education in a new field.
In Creating a Personal Brand with Social Media at 5:30 p.m., attendees will hear from local social media experts on how to build a personal brand. Topics will include building a proper LinkedIn profile, expanding your online network and best practices for interacting online.
The final session will take place at 6:30 p.m. and is titled Attracting and Retaining Technical Talent. This panel will discuss innovative recruiting methods that companies use, creating a company brand and culture, strategic hiring methods and creating a dynamic work environment.
The event will take place on March 4 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the DoubleTree Hotel. There is no admission fee for the event or panels.
