Making the Most of Networking with Digital Rochester
Improve networking skills in time for the Technology Career Fair
or to start the year with the skills to make contacts more easily.
Rochester, NY - Digital Rochester is planning a networking skills improvement session for February 28. Networking is an important part of everyone's career journey, and everyone can benefit from this event. Even people who make networking and socializing look easy share common negative emotions when they walk into a room full of strangers.
Dr. Uma Gupta is a consultant and public speaker who helps individuals and organizations understand decision-making skills and biases using the latest findings in brain research. "It's interesting how our brains react when confronted with a large group of people we don't know," comments Dr. Gupta. "We may not realize it, but that reaction affects all of our interactions while we are in that situation."
The event will focus on assessing individual strengths and weaknesses in networking, a panel discussion and a chance to practice the techniques taught by Dr. Gupta. Making the Most of Networking will be held Friday, February 28 from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Locust Hill Country Club. Tickets are $25 for Digital Rochester supporting members and $30 for non-members. Register online at DigitalRochester.com.
