Rochester, NY - Digital Rochester announced the award winners for the third annual GREAT Awards at a dinner at the Rochester Plaza Hotel on Tuesday, September 10, 2013. Nominations were received in eight different award categories and eventually narrowed to 23 finalists, from which a panel of judges selected one award winner per category.
This year's award winners are:
Communication Technology:
Post Central Interactive, LLC.
For Dicheo, an interactive software program designed to allow clients to organize marketing collateral in one centralized location.
Going Green Award:
BioWorks, Inc.
For their commitment to creating a safer environment by providing environmentally safe products for clients and encouraging employees to reduce and reuse whenever possible within their business practices.
Healthcare Technology Award:
Clerisy Corp.
For their extraordinary, new-to-market, FDA-approved medication delivery device, Aromahaler® Nasal SoftStrips®.
Optics, Photonics & Imaging Award:
Lumetrics, Inc.
For developing an all-fiber based interferometer called the OptiGauge™.
Student Achievement:
Emily Wozniak
For starting Sound ExChange, a music performance organization dedicated to transforming and modernizing the way audiences experience classical music.
Rising Star Award:
All Access, LLC.
For developing All Access Menus, an app that recognizes businesses' logos and offers menus that speak to users, particularly ideal for the Deaf, Blind and Low Vision communities.
Visionary Leadership Award:
Frank Wojcik - Associate Provost of LITS and CIO at the College at Brockport
Forward thinking, goal-driven, team oriented, committed to excellence, strategic and supportive are some of the words used to describe Frank.
Technology Services Award:

For developing an IT and Desktop video collection that leverages the latest production and delivery technologies to deliver targeted learning vignettes for various software applications and platforms.
