In the Spotlight....10 minutes with Jeff Brooks

There is a lot to be said about Jeff, but one thing is for sure - after you meet Jeff you will agree is that he is one of the most approachable Operations Manager you'll have ever met. He enjoys this career at Ingersoll Paper Box and after 32 years of working here, we'd hope so too. Starting as a general labourer in 1981 Jeff worked his way up through the company and alongside many great leaders. David Skinner knew early in Jeff's career that he would have what it takes to help manage the business. "He is an innovative problem solver, and responds quickly to production demands - a dependable and trustworthy man.   I couldn't have asked for a better Operations Manager".  Ask anyone around the office and they will say that Jeff is the "go to person" to solve problems and help take the team the next level.  

So what drives Jeff to be great, it's the desire to meet and exceed our customers' expectations and the people at IPB make that part of his job easy, he is surrounded by a strong group of people who love to be challenged and are all working towards the common goal - "delivering the best products we can offer to our customers"

When Jeff is not working at "the box" - you will likely find him spending time with his family, cooking, playing sports (baseball and hockey), or planning the latest men's league event. Although he wishes he could go more often, he always looks forward to packing up the truck and heading up north do some fishing and hunting. Ask him where he will be in 5 years - he says doing exactly the same as he is doing now...just with a little more time up north.

Jeff recently participated in the Ride for Heart - "Ride Big, Live Big" campaign for the Heart & Stroke foundation. Although this was his first year, he plans to make this an annual event. Raising awareness for the Heart & Stroke Foundation is something Jeff holds near and dear to his heart. It was just 3 years ago when Jeff's wife Sheila had a heart attack. "Sheila is young and active and not your typical candidate for a heart attack - and I hope these types of events help build the awareness for people of all ages".
