We'd love to share photos of the gardens our customers create with RFWP's trees and shrubs in an upcoming newsletter. Please email your photos to office1@richsfoxwillowpines.com and tell us about your garden.
What a mix of cold and rain interspersed with beautiful spring weather during May! And with the rain and heat that we've had, the conifers in particular are pushing out new growth and the the young cones are lovely. Most deciduous trees are leafed out and all the flowering trees and shrubs are providing gorgeous displays. Our sales yard is filled with trees of all shapes and sizes, ready to plant in your garden or container. We will be open on Memorial Day, Monday, May 23rd. If you'd like to come out to look for trees in the field, please call 815-338-7442 or email us to schedule a visit.

Light up the Landscape
This spring yellow conifers are really shining in the nursery, with cultivars in so many different genera creating a dazzling display. Most of them hold the color better when planted in sunnier locations. Used in groupings or alone, yellow-toned conifers provide wonderful contrast with the greens and blues of other conifers.
Another stunner with incredible yellow needles is Pinus strobus 'Louie'. This eastern white pine cultivar retains the color all year, but during certain winters it really glows.
