Hallelujah! Rich's Foxwillow Pines Nursery is alive and thriving. Susan and I are grateful to have found a life in horticulture. 25 sweet years ago, we started RFWP with guts and a dream. Education came from our peers and especially the American Conifer Society and its membership. The giants of the conifer world put up with us and nurtured us to be the next generation of blowhards in our area of plants. I never thought I would have this profession and I am grateful to all who helped me to be more.
Of course for Susan and me, our work provided us a vehicle to expand our charitable endeavors. There are many people to thank who helped us generate over $500,000 for Heifer International. It is our intent to continue raising money for Heifer International with the help of all our volunteers. Ed Slomski and Mike Krause are dedicated volunteers who work twice a week to prepare for the June 8 Hosta Sale. Put August 24, 2013 on your calendar for the late summer hosta sale. We also want to help build 100 clinics in rural Bolivia by raising donations for Mano a Mano International Partners.
Thanks for all who shared in our dream and our staff who made it happen. We know there are a lot of interesting trees in the landscape as a result! We are proud to have shared the beauty created in 10,000 gardens from Vermont to Colorado.
