"The Art of Gardening"

Visit Navy Pier
and get inspired by glorious gardens.

RFWP's garden,

Living Art in the Garden,

will feature some of our most abstract trees. Multiple vignettes will highlight funky and formal display pieces, including rusted metal creatures in one, a whimsical village in another, and Shona art in the third.  The garden incorporates conifers with bicolor foliage, species that turn brilliant yellow in winter, extreme weeping specimens, conifers with twisted-looking needles, and plants that span a wide color spectrum.

Visit Booth #628/630 and learn more about the work we do with Heifer International to end world hunger. Also learn about the work that Mano a Mano International Partners is doing in rural Bolivia.

Fabulous Bark

Winter is a great time to enjoy the more subtle beauties of the garden. When deciduous trees drop their foliage, their silhouettes are highlighted and the bark is exposed. Even the bark on evergreen trees stands out more against a backdrop of white snow. Bark functions as a protective outer coating for the tree, and its many textures, colors and patterns offer a visual feast.
