CAMP PERRY, OH - The Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) proudly invites the top junior shooters from around the country to Port Clinton to compete for the gold at the 2015 JROTC Three-Position National Championships, held March 19-21 at the Gary Anderson CMP Competition Center. High school cadets from Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force JROTC (Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps) units will meet on the firing line to complete a journey that has been months in the making.

Rimfire Pistol Distinguished Badge, Achievement Pins Get New Updated Look

Art has been approved for the new EIC .22 Rimfire Pistol Distinguished Badge and .22 Rimfire Pistol, Service Pistol and Service Rifle EIC Achievement Pins for distribution to excelling marksmen in each distinction.
The improved Distinguished Badge will resemble the current badges, while the achievement pins will replace the EIC medals used in recent years. The pins are 1-1/2 inch in diameter and are gold with black, white and gold, silver or bronze highlights.

"Quiet your mind" and "Focus on 'us,' not 'them'" are just two of the commands students hear from retired Lt. Col. The Peconic River Sportsman's Club, Manorville, NY, will be hosting a Service Rifle Small Arms Firing School on 25-26 April. The SAFS is a program designed as an introduction to the sport of High Power Rifle Competition for new participants. It is also for persons interested in improving their shooting skills who are currently involved in High Power Rifle competitions. CMP Club Annual Reports. CMP Affiliated Clubs, State Associations and MOUs are encouraged to visit http://thecmp.org/clubs/club-annual-reports/ to complete an annual Club Renewal and Activity Report to renew their affiliation with the CMP. The Club Activity Report requests current data about CMP Affiliated Clubs and information about the club's activities during the calendar year 2014. Information reported is used to determine the organization's eligibility for CMP programs as well as to evaluate and develop CMP programs. 2015 Club Renewal and Activity Reports are due no later than April 1, 2015. CMP Garand-Springfield-Military Master Instructor Training Workshop. Experienced rifle marksmanship instructors and shooters who would like to receive advanced training and be certified as "Master Instructors" to teach CMP-sanctioned Garand, Springfield and Vintage Military Rifle or Rimfire Sporter Clinics are invited to apply to attend a 2015 CMP Master Instructor Training Workshop. 2015 dates and locations are:

The celebration is a two-day event which includes tours of the facility, a special John C. Garand Rifle Match on Saturday commemorating the 71st anniversary of the Allied Forces D-Day landing at Normandy Beach and Service Rifle EIC, Service Pistol EIC and .22 Rimfire Pistol EIC Matches on Sunday.

The CMP Games - Oklahoma will feature clinics, SAFS/M16 match, EIC Rifle Match, GSMM Four Gun Aggregate, Vintage Sniper Match, CMP As-Issued 1911 Pistol Match, Military & Police Service Pistol Match, EIC Pistol match, and several other events! 14 March 18 April 16 May 19 September 17 October 14 November The Civilian Marksmanship Program invites you and your team to participate in the CMP's Monthly Matches. The matches will take place on the dates listed below at the CMP's Marksmanship Centers North and South. The competitions will feature a Junior Air Rifle 3x20 and 3x10, a 60 Shots Air Rifle and Air Pistol match, and a 20 shot Novice Prone match. Rental equipment is available for the monthly matches for a small fee.
