Carnegie  Happy October!

Click on the CD cover to enjoy our most-requested song.  Nobody sings "Ghost Riders in the Sky"  like the Diamond W Wranglers.  Stu's lead vocal is smokin', and the ghostly chorus is haunting..

Greetings!

This month sees the fruition of an idea the Diamond W Wranglers have been working on all year.  We've teamed up with our musical compadres Judy Coder and 3 Trails West to develop a  "package" show in the tradition of Roy Rogers and other Western greats.

"The West Is As Wild as Ever" showcases the talents of all three groups.  Judy Coder from Topeka is a classically trained musician with a voice that will make you melt.  She is also a nationally recognized yodeler! 3 Trails West from Overland Park is an infectious trio of Western Swing voices, joined by their Trailhands on steel guitar and accordion.  Garry Bury joins brothers Leo Eilt and Roger Eilt in creating a sound that earned them the "Crescendo Award" from the Western Music Association last year.

For "The West Is As Wild As Ever" the troupe has been rehearsing some of the most beloved Western tunes in EIGHT PART harmony. Whew!  It's beautiful stuff.  You'll also have a chance to hear a selection of songs from each musical group.

We thank the Emporia Arts Center for hosting this premiere at the beautifully restored Granada Theatre in Emporia, and hope to take the show on the road around Kansas and the Midwest.

With this issue of "Special Delivery" we are tickled to share a new feature:  "Stu's Stories".  Our lead singer is a remarkable storyteller, and we have begun sharing his short stories on a regular basis.

By the way, if you want to keep up with the personal side of the Diamond W, we invite you to "Like Us" on Facebook.  We appreciate your friendship and support.

In Arizona with Rex Allen, Jr.

The Wranglers have had a good time traveling with Rex Allen Jr. this year, and plan to do more in the future.  In Sun City, Arizona they played here at the Sun Bowl.  This shot was taken about an hour before showtime...  later crowded with 1,500 people.  It was the largest crowd they'd had this year!

Thanks for reading our "Special Delivery"!  Hope to see you soon....
