The Band Perry Live In Greeneville!

Never in the recent history of Greeneville and Greene County has there been such a team effort to present a nationally-advertised event for this community.  The Partnership is working closely with departments from the city, county and state to coordinate The Band Perry Concert Saturday, March 30, at 6 p.m. on Main Street in downtown historic Greeneville.  The Partnership has arranged for a shuttle service to provide transportation to the downtown area from Hal Henard School and the Greene County Fairgrounds. Ten buses will be transporting concert-goers into the area to join what will most certainly be one of the largest crowds ever in historic downtown Greeneville.  The shuttles will begin at noon and continue throughout the event.  For more information on the concert, contact the Partnership, 638-4111, or call the Town of Greeneville information line, 639-7106.  Concert information will also be posted on the Partnership's Facebook page, www.facebook.com/GreeneCountyPartnership, and our website, GreeneCountyPartnership.com.

Tourism Update

Tourism To Debut Sports Recruitment Video At National Symposium

The Sports Council is working with Darren Reese, sports editor with the Greeneville Sun, on a 30-second video that highlights some of our best sporting venues for inclusion in this year's National Association of Sports Commission's (NASC) Symposium.  The symposium will be held in Louisville, KY, April 22-25.  One of the offerings during the networking reception is the opportunity to show a brief video of what each state has to offer sports commissions.  This will be a great way to elevate Greeneville's presence and allow sports destinations in our community to be highlighted.

Tourism Ads Produce Many Leads

Tourism has been busy filling inquiries from ads placed in publications over the past month.  More than 200 inquiries were received from Tourism's cooperative ad with the General Morgan Inn in the 2013 Tennessee Vacation Guide and 187 inquiries from ads in American History/American Civil War and Civil War Times.  Tourism would like to thank the General Morgan Inn for their sponsorship of the Tennessee Vacation Guide mailing.  If you are interested in sponsoring a future mailing, which is sent to a list of 200 possible visitors, the cost is $75 for the first two participants. Contact Tammy Kinser at tkinser@greenecop.com for more information.
