Street Maintenance Updates
The paving of Sandy Ln (Hewitt to Alex) may possibly take place today (Friday August 26th) in the afternoon and paving of Weston Ave (Birch to Alderson) will tentatively take place this Saturday Morning, August 27th. -  If the contractor cannot get to Sandy Ln this afternoon, they will then try to pave it Saturday morning.  Portions of Sandy Ln will be detoured utilizing Alex St. to Michael to Cheryl, back to Sandy.  Weston Ave will be done all at once, but only the eastbound lane is being repaved so flaggers will be there to help traffic utilize the westbound lane.  In the event of adverse weather conditions, these projects will be pushed back to Monday August 29th.

Chip seal on Jelinek Ave from BUS 51 to Normandy St., as well as on Machmueller from Jelinek to Heuss and McIntyre from Volkman to Machmueller will take place on Tuesday August 30th, weather permitting.

In all of these cases, traffic will be able to drive on the surface shortly after the paving and/or chip sealing is performed.
Online Payments now available
on Weston Website
Through a partnership with Official Payments, the Village is now able to accept online payments for utility and tax bills through its website. Official Payments will charge a convenience fee of $4.95 for utility bills and 7% of a tax payment. The village hopes to add more convenient payment options in the future. "We are currently doing some research on vendor options and point of sale solutions that will allow us to take more forms of payment whether you come to the counter or want to pay a bill from the comfort of your own home" said Nate Crowe, Director of Technology Services.  As
Weston continues to add other options, those convenience fees should see a decrease.  Please stay tuned to future newsletters for updates regarding additional payment options.
