Peyton's Promise
Continues to Curb Hunger
Peyton's Promise is rolling into its 10th year in our community.  Their team of 70+ Advocates, (and projecting to add an additional 25 more this spring), continue to keep pantries stocked, raise awareness about hunger and fight childhood obesity by motivating kids to make healthy choices and keep moving. This organization has worked together with our Community to collect over 300 tons of food for local pantries and pantries in 8 other states.

The Peyton's Promise Board of Directors and Advocate Board of Directors discussed ways they could to make our community a better place.  One of the problems they saw was a need for more opportunities for kids to volunteer and food delivered to our lower income areas throughout the area.

They have been raising funds for a Peyton's Promise van and because of supportive businesses and organizations, they are almost there.  They are so grateful to have received donations from several donations from area businesses, as well as community members and they are very close to reaching our goal of $50,000 for the purchase and wrap of the van. Peyton's Promise is so thankful to our amazing community and for the continuous support and encouragement. They are so excited to purchase this van and provide food to students in the summer, volunteer opportunities for many groups, and education about the problem of hunger to the community.

If you would like to contribute to the Van Fund please visit their website at http://www.peytonspromise.org/
