Unless stated otherwise, all meetings are held at the Village of Weston Municipal Center, 5500 Schofield Avenue.

Public Engagement Session
Camp Phillips @ STH 29
Neighborhood Plan

Please join the Village of Weston and JSD Professional Services, Inc. and provide feedback for the Camp Phillips @ State Highway 29 Neighborhood Planning Study. 
  • Who: All general public is encouraged to attend
  • What: Public Engagement Session, Q & A Session
  • When: 4:30 p.m., Monday, December 14, 2015
  • Where: Weston Municipal Center 
                     (5500 Schofield Ave., Weston)

Building Inspections

Due to a short term medical leave, Village and Town building permit inspections will be completed through a contracted building inspector. Through January 18th, building inspections will be restricted to the hours of 7:30 am to 11:30 am on Tuesdays and 11:30am to 3:30pm on Thursdays. 

If you are in need of a building permit inspection, please contact the Village Municipal Center at 715-359-6114 or via email at plandev@westonwi.gov and staff will assist you with scheduling your inspection with the contract inspector. Village Planning and Development Staff will continue to assist with permit questions and intake during the normal Building Inspection Office Hours of 8- 9am and 3:30-4:30pm Monday through Thursday or anytime via email at plandev@westonwi.gov.
Premier Sports Academy
Ribbon Cutting & Grand Opening

On Friday, December 11th starting at 2:30 p.m., there will be a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to celebrate Premier Sports Academy's (8706 Progress Way, Weston) Grand Opening. 

On Saturday, December 12th from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. will be the official Grand Opening.

2016 Budget Adopted

The Village Board adopted the 2016 Budget on November 30th. The Village tax rate was adopted at $5.76, which is a 19 cent increase (3.44%) over last years rate.

With the Village's tax rate adopted, the combined tax rate on the December 2015 property tax rate will be $20.57, which is a 23 cent increase (1.13% increase).

The average $150,000 Weston homeowner will see a $45 increase on their December 2015 property tax bill. Property tax bills are scheduled to be mailed out by December 12th
Committee Vacancy

The Village of Weston has a vacancy in it's Community Development Authority (CDA) Committiee. The Community Development Authority consists of seven members who oversee housing and redevelopment projects in the Village of Weston. Job Opening
Utility Maintenance Worker/Operator

The Village of Weston is seeking a fulltime Utility Maintenance Worker/Operator. The Utility Maintenance Worker/Operator will perform operation and maintenance functions on the water and wastewater physical plant.  The work shall generally include a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks, related to the operation of the wells, reservoirs, booster pumps, chemical feed equipment, water storage tanks, lift stations, water distribution system and wastewater collection system.

2016 Aquatic Center Season

The Village of Weston is currently accepting applications for Lifeguards, W.S.I. Certified lifeguards, Head lifeguards, and Slide Top/Front Desk Attendant, for the 2016 season. These seasonal positions will run from approximately the end of May through August 2016. 

Applications are available on our website, www.westonwi.gov, under the the E-Services section. Applications need to be completed by Friday, March 4th, 2016 with swim testing for new employees (lifeguards) scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 19th, 2015.

Be sure to stop in at River Valley Bank in Weston on
Friday, December 11th as they are hosting a FREE ornament painting party with ornaments from the Clay House between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Blessings in a Backpack Book Fair
Come support D.C. Everest/Wausau Blessings in a Backpack as they host a Bookfair at Barnes and Noble on Saturday, December 12th from 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. A percentage of your purchases will benefit the area schools.

There will also be various activities throughout the day including craft projects storybook ready and performances by the Wausau West Master Singers and the D.C. Everest Jr. High Strings Ensemble.

Sweet Shoppe 
Join St. Agnes (6101 Zinser St., Weston) as they host their annual Sweet Shop Sale on Saturday, December 12th from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Fancy cookies and candy will be available for sale by the pound. A luncheon will also be served until 2:00pm which includes Soup, Sandwiches, pies and more. There will also be a Raffle with top prize of $500 plus additional prizes.

United Way's 2-1-1

United Way's 2-1-1 is a dialing code for FREE confidential access to non-emergency health and human services information and referral. They are there to help answer questions and connect you to services 24 hours a day 7 days a week, whether you need information regarding financial assistant, unemployment, services for youth or elderly, or support groups (or a variety of other services.

Cutie Pie Photo Studio in Weston (corner of Camp Phillips and Schofield Ave) and Toys For Tots are working together for the month of November to collect new, unwrapped toys and distribute them as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community. Customers will receive a FREE photo session when they donate a toy for Toys For Tots. So go to Cutie Pie Photo Studio and help those families in need.



Sam's Pizza (5811 Bus. Hwy 51 - Weston) and the U.S Marine Corps Reserve "Toys For Tots" Foundation have teamed up to help local children and families in need. Bring in a "New" unwrapped toy ($10 minimum value) and get a FREE 14" 1 topping pizza from Sam's Pizza now thru December 14th.

Holiday Donations 
Beginning with their Black Friday sale (11/27) and continuing through 12/16/15 Kidz Closet will be collecting for various non-profits with needs they have been made aware of. Select an Angel and take it to a teller to learn about the child (age, gender, needs, interests).  Then return the Angel along with your present to an AbbyBank location by December 11th
Fill the Bus- 
to feed the Hungry in our Community 
The Renaissance Assisted Living and Rennes Health Center are showing their community pride and support through the holidays. They are determined to fill one of their transportation buses with non-perishable food items between November 25th and December 25th. The bus will be bannered and placed in front of their facility before November 25th as we build up community support and excitement.

Thanks for the continued support from the Village of Weston Area Schools, Residents, Pick n Save, Abby Bank and Fantastic Sam's, for their tremendous effort in supporting Peyton's Promise to help the many needy families throughout the year. 

Peyton's Promise has also started an "Item of the Month" collection. The item of the month for December: Canned Fruit in 100% Juice and Healthy Soup. The items can be dropped off at the Village of Weston Municipal Center (between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.), Pick n Save, Fantastic Sam's, Covenant Community Presbyterian Church, or Abby Bank.
