The Village of Weston is currently in the process of updating the Comprehensive Plan, which a vision and guide for the future growth and development of the community. This Plan is required to be updated every 10 years by the State of Wisconsin to ensure that the community is headed in the right direction. The first Comprehensive Plan was adopted in 2006 through a collaborative effort with the County and other Metro municipalities. There are 9 required elements for the Plan, which are: Issues and Opportunities, Housing, Transportation, Utilities and Community Facilities, Agriculture, Natural and Cultural Resources, Economic Development, Intergovernmental Cooperation, Land Use and Implementation. At this time, the Village is working on a draft of the Housing Element and is interested in seeking out residents' opinions and views regarding the quality of housing and neighborhoods throughout the Village.
