Sec. 70.104.  Depositing snow removal.  "It shall be unlawful for any person to push or deposit snow, or cause snow to be pushed or deposited from his own personal driveway or parking area into the public streets and/or right-of-way so as to cause a nuisance or obstruction. The village may cause such deposits of snow to be removed from the street, and the cost of such removal shall be charged to the property owner."

Sec. 70.112.  Cleaning of sidewalks.  "The owner of property or the party in possession of the property abutting on any sidewalk shall, without notice and at all times, keep such abutting sidewalk clean and free from debris, dirt, sweepings, obstructions and clear of snow and ice and shall not deposit or place any sweepings or debris or other foreign matter upon the sidewalk, or in the street. FALL YARD MATERIAL PICK-UP

This year's Fall Yard Materials Pick-up started on Monday, October 13, 2014.  As of Wednesday November 12th, approximately 500 dump truck loads of material had been picked up by the Village crew.  Unfortunately due to the early onset of winter, material pick-up was halted for a few days to take care of the recent snowfall.  Yard material pick-up started up again on Thursday Nov. 13th to finish up the Thursday refuse route.

Crews will be going around with a front end loader picking up the remainder of the material that is visible through the snow.  We ask that you do not bring more material out to the roadside as the crews try to finish up. Any material that is left out at the side of the road can always be brought to the Village's yard waste site (free of charge) located at 8200 Ryan St (1/4 mile south of Weston Ave.)  When bringing items to the yard material site, please remove leaves from bags and dispose of the bags in the provided container.

Below is one of our new informational Weston V-Chat videos. This video is all about the Weston yard materials pick-up and our Yard Waste Site.

 DEER HUNTING CHANGES 2014

"The rules have changed, but the tradition remains! Are you ready for deer season?"

Starting in 2011, an extensive review was conducted of Wisconsin's deer management program. The result of this undertaking, known as the Deer Trustee Report, included over 60 recommendations designed to improve Wisconsin's deer management programs. After significant effort by the public, DNR and other partners and stakeholder groups, rule changes have been made that will go into effect beginning with the 2014 deer hunting seasons.
