EBT tokens, with the assistance of the Marathon County Health Department and the Healthy Eating Active Living Coalition of Marathon County can also be used as a form of payment and come in increments of $1. Please look for the sandwich board sign on Market days to purchase your tokens through the Debit and EBT programs.

"The service of allowing electronic forms of payment not only helps Marathon County residents access more local, fresh foods, but it also supports the vendors of the market," says Amanda Ostrowski, Public Health Educator with Marathon County Health Department.

The Weston Farmers Market is located next to the Weston Municipal Center at 5500 Schofield Avenue and is open on Tuesday's and Saturday's from 8 a.m. until produce is sold out through the end of October.
BUILDING PERMITS REQUIRED

Spring is here, which means many of you may be planning some home improvement projects.  Building permits are required in the Village of Weston for a number of home improvement projects such as fences, yard sheds, gazebos, exterior remodels (siding, windows and doors), swimming pools, in-ground irrigation systems, finishing basements, building additions, and metal roofs.  However, you do not need a permit for shingle to shingle roof replacement.

If you are not sure if a building permit is needed for your home improvement project, please feel free to call the Village Municipal Center at 359-6114 and a Village staff member will assist you in determining if your home improvement project requires a building permit.  Building permit applications can be easily picked up at the Village Municipal Center during normal business hours, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday - Friday, or can be accessed on the Village's website at http://westonwi.gov/384/Applications-and-Permits.
