A Snapshot of What's Happening in Weston!
WATER SERVICE INTERUPTION & FROZEN PIPES IN WESTON - TAKE PRECAUTION

As of Friday, February 14, Weston Municipal Utilities has NOT issued a system wide advisory to continuously run water to prevent water service lateral freeze-ups.  Some residents have been notified specifically to do so.  If you were notified it has been by letter, in person, or after contacting the utility by telephone.  This includes anyone who has experienced a water service lateral freeze-up.  Other circumstances may apply and you should refer to the Village's website for the FAQ's regarding water service laterals and water service lateral freeze-ups.

If you have been advised to run water continuously it must be a pencil sized stream (about ¼ inch) in size.  In  buildings where there is regular water usage, the service laterals are less likely to freeze. If you were NOT sent a letter we advise you to run your cold water at a full stream at least 2 times a day for 5 minutes each time for precaution until further notice. If you have any questions you can contact our 24 hour Utility line at 715-359-2876. Thank you!
