This year's Fall Yard Waste Pick Up is scheduled to begin Monday, October 14, 2013. If yard waste cannot be reached by the Village's machines it will then be the responsibility of the resident to dispose of the waste . After the roadside collection, leaves and all pre-mentioned items can be brought to the Village's yard waste site (free of charge) located at 8200 Ryan Street (1/4 mile south of Weston Avenue on the west side). FALL WATER MAIN AND HYDRANT FLUSHING
The Village of Weston Water Utility will be flushing the water mains and fire hydrants beginning Monday Sept.23 thru Tues. Oct. 29, 2013. Water mains will be flushed between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM on these dates. You may notice that your water has a reddish color or tint during or following the flushing. This discoloration should be eliminated shortly after you have run water through your own service line. If the discoloration persists, please contact our office. Those with sensitive water needs should draw water before the hours of flushing to reduce the chance of discolored water. White laundry should not be washed while the mains are being flushed in your area. You may also notice a change in water pressure while hydrants are flushed in your area. If you have any questions or concerns please call our office at 715-359-2876. 2013 Fall Water Main Flushing Map 2013 Fall Water Main Flushing Schedule

GET THOSE PETS LICENSED
The Village of Weston has made it even easier for pet owners to license their pets by partnering with the City of Wausau and PetData, the nation's only full-service animal licensing provider, to improve the process of licensing pets. If you licensed your pet in 2012, you should have received a 2013 pet license renewal notice directly to your mailbox. We appreciate those who have registered their pet on time. Earlier this year multiple reminders were sent to those who have failed to register their pets. Now it has come to the point where the Village has to issue citations for those who have yet to respond to our request for compliance. If you no longer have your pet, please stop in to the Municipal Center to let us know. Per Village Ordinance, area veterinarians are required to report all pets that are vaccinated; this list will be used to ensure that all the pets that reside in the Village of Weston are licensed to ensure the public's safety. As reminder, Chapter 10 of the Village of Weston's Municipal Code requires that all cats and dogs must be licensed by the time they become four (4) months of age or within 30 days of an owner obtaining the animal. Late license fees will be charged for those failing to obtain a license by April 1 of each year or within 30 days of taking ownership of the animal. If you have yet to license your pet, please come to the Village of Weston Municipal Center as soon as possible, to avoid the issuance of a citation.

DRIVE-THRU COFFEE COMING TO WESTON - DUNKIN DONUTS
Later this year, Weston residents will finally get their wish for a coffee shop in Weston! Lokre Cos., announced Thursday, their shopping center, Weston Center, on the corner of Schofield Avenue and Camp Phillips Road, will soon be home to a Dunkin' Donuts. Over the last month, Lokre Cos. has been working with Village Planning & Development staff to get the new building and site plans together for Village approvals in October. Plans are to build a new, 3-tenant, 6,500 square foot building, in front of the existing shopping center that is currently home to Shanghai Grill, Fantastic Sam's and the similarly much awaited Jimmy Johns. A drive-thru coffee shop has been the #1 request by Village residents for a number of years and we look forward to Dunkin' Donuts joining our Weston business community. Once Village approvals are received the developer plans to begin construction immediately with a target date to open by early 2014.
