Dear Chesney Elementary School Parents,
I am indeed excited to join the Chesney Elementary School community as the principal. Continuing the excellence of Chesney is a promise that I made to my valued colleague, Margaret Ackerman, to the staff and to the entire community.
As the new Principal of Chesney Elementary School, I am so honored to join a school culture focused on student learning, a commitment to high expectations, innovation and collaboration. Through a strong partnership between the school and parent community, we will continue these important traditions and practices.
Establishing a strong relationship with parents is extremely important to me. With an "open door" policy, you will find me to be honest, compassionate, consistent and fair. By working together, we can continue to grow leaders who learn like champions! I would like to extend an invitation to all Chesney parents to a New Principal "Meet and Greet" with refreshments, on Thursday, November 14th from 6:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. in the parent center. This will be a great opportunity for us to meet as a Chesney family and kick off an exciting journey of teaching and learning. I hope to see you there!
Chesney Elementary is a wonderful school and I am honored to be its new leader! We have awesome students, dedicated staff and highly supportive parents and community members. I am excited to work with you to "build on success" and make this the best year ever at Chesney!

IDENT-A-KID
We have invited IDENT-A-KID to provide their safety I.D. Program. All children should have an I.D. card. Ident-A-Kid cards contain your child's photo and complete physical description. The cards are laminated for durability and intended to be carried by you and everyone who cares for your child. The U.S. Government's Social Security Administration recognizes the Ident-A-Kid card to be used in supporting as a secondary I.D.
The date is: Thursday, November 14 at 6:30 p.m. Be looking for the form to fill out and return with your child on or before the above date. One (1) card $8, two (2) $12, Best Buy: four (4) for $15, the cost is per child (each). Purchase 2 or more cards (per child) and you can also have this ID sent to your cell phone. Ident-A-Kid supplies the Security System to schools for the Safety of everyone.

SING FOR SANTA!
GWINNETT GLADIATORS
Join our Chesney Chiefs Chorus and the Gwinnett Gladiators as they welcome over 1,000 Metro Atlanta area school kids to participate in a special 1st Intermission Holiday Concert on Friday, December 13. Game time is 7:05 p.m. Be sure to wear your Chesney Spirit wear or favorite holiday attire!
Almost 20 school chorus groups will join forces in one End Zone of the arena
bowl to form one massively festive choir as they set the holiday spirit with
rousing renditions of everyone's favorite holiday standards.
For ticket information for yourself or your family, please print and submit this form directly to the Gwinnett Gladiators.
Chorus students do not require a ticket. We will not be collecting money at school.
