Chesney Welcomes Dr. Ricardo Quinn
On Wednesday, October 30, the Gwinnett County Board of Education appointed Dr. Ricardo Quinn to replace Ms. Ackerman as the principal of Chesney Elementary.
Dr. Quinn has been an Assistant Principal for numerous years.
He began his administrative career at Duluth High School. He then transferred to Hopkins Elementary where he was the Title One Administrator among other duties. Currently he is the Assistant Principal at Arcado Elementary.
I have known Dr. Quinn for years.
He is outstanding leader and wonderful person. He leads with passion and heart. I pledge my support to him as he embraces this new opportunity. You will be able to meet him at PTA on Thursday, November 14.

IDENT-A-KID
We have invited IDENT-A-KID to provide their safety I.D. Program. Let's face it, times have changed. The danger of a child being lost or abducted is very real and disturbing. All children should have an I.D. card. Ident-A-Kid cards contain your child's photo and complete physical description. The cards are laminated for durability and intended to be carried by you and everyone who cares for your child. The U.S. Government's Social Security Administration recognizes the Ident-A-Kid card to be used in supporting as a secondary I.D.
The date is: Thursday, November 14 at 6:30 p.m. Be looking for the form to fill out and return with your child on or before the above date. One (1) card $8, two (2) $12, Best Buy: four (4) for $15, the cost is per child (each). Purchase 2 or more cards (per child) and you can also have this ID sent to your cell phone. Ident-A-Kid supplies the Security System to schools for the Safety of everyone.
