EARLY RELEASE / PARENT CONFERENCES
Early release for all students will be held on Wednesday, September 25 and Thursday, September 26 at 12:50 p.m. 
If your student is a car rider, please make sure that you are on time to pick up your child.  When arriving at Chesney for conferences, please park in a "VISITOR" or unmarked parking space only.  Plan on arriving at least 10 minutes early for parking and signing in at the front desk. 

 

DULUTH FALL FESTIVAL PARADE

Please help support our students and Kara Cowdrick, our "Teacher of the Year" as they represent Chesney in the Duluth Fall Festival Parade on Saturday, September 28.        Donate a bag of individually-wrapped candy to the Family Center.  Save the date on your calendar!  Put on your Chesney spirit wear and join us at 9:00 a.m. on Main Street to march in the  parade and represent Chesney!

FOOD PANTRY / CLOTHES CLOSET

 

Cross Pointe Church has a food pantry and clothes closet which are both open on Wednesday mornings, Wednesday evenings, and Saturday mornings.  It is open to everyone in need.  At our food pantry, families can get food once every 30 days.

In addition to our food pantry, the Atlanta Food Bank provides a quarterly Mobile Food Pantry at Cross Pointe.  Families can get food at the mobile food pantry in addition to their monthly food from our local food bank.

It's time again for our Fall Scholastic Book Fair!  Visit the Media Center during the hours of 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. from September 19 - 27.  Great deals for everyone!  Do your Holiday shopping a little early!

How to Earn an "E" First Quarter 2013.

(ALL projects are due NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 27) 

Kindergarten,
1st & 2nd Grade:

Do a science activity at home.  When you are done write a description telling Mrs. Jameson what you did during the activity and what you learned about science by doing the activity.


3rd Grade:

Think of an animal you have seen in a Georgia habitat or at a trip to the zoo.  Draw a picture of it and write a paragraph explaining two adaptations it has that help it survive and how those adaptations help it survive.  Use details AND complete sentences.  Turn in your picture in with your paragraph.


4th Grade:

Keep track of the weather data for a week (temperature, precipitation, and cloud coverage). After write a paragraph explaining any patterns you saw and if your data shows that a warm or cold front passed through.  Use details AND complete sentences.  Turn your data in with your paragraph.


5th Grade:
