CogAT REMINDER
CogAT Testing for 1st, 3rd & 5th grade students will be held September 16 - 18 beginning at 9:00 a.m. each morning.
You can help your child prepare for testing days by making sure they have had a good night's rest and a good breakfast before coming to school. It is also helpful to encourage your child to do his or her best on the test. Please make sure your child is at school no later than 9:00 a.m. on testing days. If they arrive after this time, they will have to make up the test another day. |
FREE & REDUCED LUNCH DEADLINE
The grace period for carry over benefits from last year for the Free & Reduced meal program expires on Wednesday, September 18, 2013. If you have not completed a 2013 - 2014 application please do so immediately. If the application is not processed by that day, your child will automatically become full pay for all meals. You may apply online at http://gwinnett.schoollunchapp.com or by completing a paper application. |

Kindergarten,
1st & 2nd Grade: |
Do a science activity at home. When you are done write a description telling Mrs. Jameson what you did during the activity and what you learned about science by doing the activity. |
3rd Grade: |
Think of an animal you have seen in a Georgia habitat or at a trip to the zoo. Draw a picture of it and write a paragraph explaining two adaptations it has that help it survive and how those adaptations help it survive. Use details AND complete sentences. Turn in your picture in with your paragraph. |
4th Grade: |
Keep track of the weather data for a week (temperature, precipitation, and cloud coverage). After write a paragraph explaining any patterns you saw and if your data shows that a warm or cold front passed through. Use details AND complete sentences. Turn your data in with your paragraph. |
5th Grade: |

Every year, our Chesney classroom and staff members have collected Box Tops and Labels for Education. Last year, we held numerous contests and raised over $700.00!!
