Store sale 2013
Star of Wonder Make our holiday tradition your family's tradition, see "Star of Wonder: Mystery of the Christmas Star" and "Laser Holidays" in the Abbitt Planetarium. Days and times vary, with extended show times during Christmas week.

Also join us for a holiday evening  Saturday, Dec. 21. See "Star of Wonder" at 6:30pm and "Laser Holidays" at 7:30pm.
laser holidays Free stargazing begins at sunset and the Salvation Army Brass Band will perform from 6 to 7 p.m.

Select from six shows ($3 members, $6 non-members): "Laser Holidays" at 5:30pm, "Star of Wonder" at 6:30pm, "Virginia Skies" at 7:30pm, "Laser Mania" at 8:30pm and a Pink Floyd double feature, "The Wall" at 10pm and "Dark Side of the Moon" at 11:30pm. The Wild Side Café will be open.  
Tede's last Story Time Dec. 21
Tede story time Veteran volunteer Tede Johnson is retiring after 18 years of story telling with the Virginia Living Museum. Join us for her last Story Time on Saturday, Dec. 21, at 10am when she will read "Owl Moon" by Jane Yolen and display an owl. 
Noon Year's Eve The entire family can ring in the New Year during our High Noon Year's Eve celebration Dec. 31 from 11am to 1pm. Come dressed as a cowpoke. Meet Bubbles the Clown and special animal friends from the Teeny Tiny Farm, make crafts, play games and enjoy fun activities.
Time: 11am-1pm, Museum open 9am-5pm.
Cost: Kid's wristband for all special activities $10 in advance, $12 at the door (in addition to Museum admission). Individual tickets 25 cents.
