I hope your audience is joining in when you start singing the big chorus on your song, but if they aren't, here are three videos (one in two parts) that will help you get your choruses doing the job you want them to.
In the first video, Steve Seskin and Bonnie Hayes talk about
what a chorus is, and how you may want to approach it. Together they create a great informal definition of the chorus: The chorus is that part that people sing to each other when they say "Hey, have you heard that song?" and they can't even remember the verses. The chorus is that part that you carry around with you.
In Steve Leslie's two part video he goes into great detail to explain one classic and
very powerful way to craft your "big" chorus. The last video is Pat Pattison's video about writing from a title, which he describes as the most efficient way he knows of to write a song since when you write this way,
the title of your song will be your chorus.
