Pat Pattison is a lyric writing and poetry professor at Berklee College of Music, where he founded the songwriting department in 1980. The Berklee Songwriting program has since become the most sought-after songwriting major in the world.
Pat has written four books: Songwriting Without Boundaries Writing Better Lyrics The Essential Guide to Lyric Form and Structure The Essential Guide to Rhyming
Together these books create the core lyric writing curriculum at Berklee. Pat has also developed five online lyric writing courses available through Berkleemusic.com, and has written more than 30 articles for Home and Studio Recording Magazine and Performing Songwriter Magazine.
