The Jewish Community Relations Council is seeking physicians and other medical professionals to perform general health screenings. General volunteers as well as medical volunteers are being recruited to offer their services for 4-hour shifts during the program.
This Interfaith Health Fair is being held in conjunction with the National Council of Jewish  Women's (NCJW) annual Back 2 School Store, at which children, identified by social service agencies, are invited to "shop" for new clothing, shoes, personal items and school supplies. The health fair will provide medical screenings for the parents and guardians who accompany the children to the event. Henry Ford Health System, Huda Clinic, Covenant Care, Jewish Family Service and other organizations are sponsoring the event. Shabbat Kulanu-Shabbat together for all! Shabbat Morning Activities resume in the fall for youth of all ages. Look for information in the bulletin soon!
B'NAI ISRAEL SYNAGOGUE YOUTH are part of Central Region United Synagogue Youth (USY-high schoolers)) and Kadima (6th-8th graders). MCUSY (Motor City USY ) is the local USY chapter, in which many of our youth are active participants. MCUSY Kickoff Open House Sunday, August 21st, 3-5 p.m. at the Gawel Home Special activities for all 6-8 and 9-12 graders. |
