Chili Cook Off Photos

Dear Belle View Families,

Great things are happening at Belle View!  It was so nice to see so many families at our Second Annual Chili Cook Off.  Many of the parents and students that we spoke with shared how nice it was to see the Belle View community and staff members come together for such a fantastic and fun event.  A special thanks to Sue Capper and our PTA for organizing this wonderful event.

Belle View Elementary School's Parent-Teacher Conferences were held on November 5th and 6th.  We hope this time to meet with your child's teacher was beneficial.  Conferences are a great way to review and discuss your child's academic progress with their teacher.  Listed below are some helpful guidelines to assist parents in future conferences.

  • Create a list of questions that you would like to ask your child's teacher ahead of time.
  • Be mindful of your scheduled conference time.  Teachers often have conferences scheduled one right after the other.  If you run out of time, please schedule another time so that all of your questions may be answered thoroughly.
  • Let teachers know ahead of time if you will be requesting information that a teacher may have to research or coordinate with another staff member in order to get you the information that you are requesting.
  • Ask the teachers what you can do to support learning in schools.  Education is truly a partnership between school and home.

If you were not able to attend a Parent-Teacher conference, we strongly encourage you to make an appointment with your child's teacher.

As a reminder, Belle View has increased their security measures.  All visitors will be required to ring the bell located on the brick wall outside of our main entrance for access into the school.  Visitors are still required to stop in the main office and get a visitors pass before walking on to their child's classroom or school event.

We would also like to remind parents that our annual Thanksgiving Luncheon will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2012.  Below you will find specific class lunch schedules for this event.  We will also be hosting a Bingo Night on Friday, November 16, 2012, in the Belle View Cafeteria beginning at 6:p.m.  All proceeds go to teacher supplies and instructional materials.

We hope to see you at our next Belle View Event!
