Speaking of Positive Momentum: LSIC Wins DC Bar Foundation Grants

LSIC received two Access to Justice (ATJ) public grants last week from the DC Bar Foundation, the largest funder of civil legal services in the District of Columbia. The grants will support the work of our Expungement Clinic and Attorney of the Day project at DC Superior Court's Landlord and Tenant Branch.
April 24-30, 2016 Is National Reentry Week.

Reentry programs promote opportunity, bolster public safety, and give formerly incarcerated individuals the full chance they deserve to rejoin our communities and strengthen our nation.

Get in the Mood to Celebrate

Please. Please. Please. We could really use a few more sponsors. We hope you can dig deep.
About Law Students in Court

DC Law Students in Court (LSIC) provides free, high-quality legal services to low-income District of Columbia residents while teaching and inspiring the next generation of social justice lawyers.  We are committed to protecting the legal rights of vulnerable men, women, and children who have civil, criminal, and housing legal problems that originated in the District.  Our steady presence in the courts serves as a vital check on a system that favors people with counsel and resources over people without.
