As the year comes to a close, my heart goes out to those who have suffered from the troubling acts of aggression and injustice in our legal system. It's painful to see. 

Yet the opportunity for sweeping justice reform gives me hope.

This spirit of reform has always been central to our
MISSION  of protecting the legal rights of the less fortunate. 

Today, our work is more important than ever.
Our recent expansion into juvenile criminal defense and expungement services, together with our fierce civil advocacy of low-income tenants, is bringing hope and change to the lives of the District's neediest residents.
