Dear Friends of Justice,

We are thrilled to announce that Judge Rainey Brandt is the 2015 recipient of the Law Students in Court Distinguished Alumnus Award.

An LSIC '95 graduate and former member of the LSIC Board of Directors, Judge Brandt has dedicated her career to public service, the law, and improving the administration of justice. As Magistrate Judge, she works to ensure that the rights of all who come before her are respected and protected. As a professor at American University, she has inspired her students to enter public service and make a difference in their communities. (Read more about her illustrious career here.)
Judge Brandt cares deeply about the future of Law Students in Court. We invite you to salute her and Roderic Boggs at our Celebration of Service reception on May 19th. Even if you are unable to attend, your gift will help us train and inspire the next generation of social justice lawyers and represent thousands of low-income residents every year in the District of Columbia.
