The Best of TARA TWEED
9 designs in America's favorite worsted-weight, wool-blend tweed

TARA TWEED

We're relishing these 60-70 degree days in NYC with all the fashion favorites of early Fall--flannels, cardigans, boots, and tights are all making their appearances on the streets of Manhattan. Pretty soon everything will be pumpkin-spiced and apple-cinnamon flavored, and we couldn't be happier about it. Fall feels like the earth is breathing one long, cardamom-scented sigh of relief before it goes dormant for the Winter, and that upswell of scents, flavors, and seasonal textures is perhaps the greatest accompaniment to Fall knitting.

Nothing feels so inspired by Fall than a beautifully textural tweed yarn. TARA TWEED has long been a favorite of knitters everywhere, which is no surprise given its incredibly soft, surprisingly lightweight hand and large palette of richly-tonal, multidimensional colors accented by bright, contrasting slubs of tweed. The crispness of Fall finds its match in the crisp stitch definition of TARA TWEED, which despite its depth of color and texture is still able to produce complex stitch patterns and bold cables without getting muddied or indistinct.

The Best of TARA TWEED Lookbook was a somewhat difficult task to undertake, given the sheer breadth of beautiful--and thankfully timeless--fashions supported by TARA TWEED. Nevertheless, the team at Tahki Yarns knuckled down and picked their absolute favorites from past seasons. The Best of TARA TWEED Lookbook encompasses 9 garments and accessories that exhibit all the best qualities of TARA TWEED. Garments like the Chesterton Cowl-Collar Top (on cover, above), which proves TARA TWEED's strength with deeply textured ribbing and lace patterning, as well as its merit as a lightweight, layering fabric, should inspire confidence in knitters about what TARA TWEED can do--the almost ethereal, seemingly weightless Georgica Horizontal Cable Pullover (below middle) exhibits a similar effect. The Montreal Pullover (right, bottom), worked in three different colors, shows how evenly TARA TWEED handles colorwork, creating a cleanly and clearly defined block of colors (see also the Musk Tee & Armwarmers, below right).
