The sun is shining, the temps are finally up, and the streets are bustling here in NYC--it's time for sparkling, incandescent knitting, warm weather fibers, and bright, brilliant colors, so put away those heavy, bulky knits and warm woolies and get ready for the sunshine season!
The Spring and Summer runways were resplendent with sheer and shimmering fashions--sequined garments as dazzlingly reflective as sunlight on water; bold, tribal patterns that played with striping and geometry to take the floral towards the abstract; and best of all, a touch of lace-kissed details, with lace dancing on hems and falling softly down backs in thoughtfully placed center panels. The Oscar de la Renta tunic (above left) is a fantastic example of Spring/Summer 2013--a simple, glittering tunic with a deep, accented v-neck; our interpretation is the Chiara Tunic in CRISTALLO (above right) which takes the look one step further with lacy details at the sleeve and hem.
Statement garments such as these will take you deep into the Summer season. Worn casually over rolled-bottom jeans and platform wedges, or for a more sophisticated look, paired with a long, fluttering skirt and gladiator sandals, this is the quintessential warm weather statement piece in a fabulously sparkly, cotton-blend yarn.

Get ready to fall in love with CRISTALLO! Light dances off of this brilliantly shimmering yarn, which is sprinkled with sparkling, multicolor paillettes. A cotton-blend, CRISTALLO also has a thread of metallic woven into the fiber, creating a crisp, reflective fabric. Stitchwork sings in CRISTALLO, and with both jewel-toned and natural colors that pair beautifully together (see the Anna Maria Striped Poncho, below, in Amber, Antique Bronze, and Pewter), there are myriad options for mixing, matching, and color experimentation. This year's fashion trend of tribal geometry melds so well with CRISTALLO, there's no need to be afraid of garments with adventurous patterning and bold shapes--CRISTALLO can handle it!

THE COLLECTIONS
With pattern support inspired by all the hot trends strutting down the runways, it's easier than ever to pad your stash, guilt-free, with gorgeous yarns like CRISTALLO--these looks, while exemplary of all the latest fashions, will never go out of style!
The new Italian-influenced BELLISSIMA collection (above left) features 13 new looks for the Spring/Summer season--figure-flattering tunics, lacy tanks, multidirectional tees, and gorgeous layering pieces like ponchos. The yarns dazzle and work wonderfully in tandem with the patterns--you simply won't achieve the same looks with different yarns!
In fact, the pattern collections from last year were so hot, so seasonless, and so popular that they quickly sold out, so this year we picked a selection of timeless, fashionable patterns from last year's collection and released new leaflets for 2013 in celebration of their popularity. The new CRISTALLO leaflet features 4 outstanding garments from Spring/Summer 2012, including the fabulous La Dolce Vita Poncho Top (above right). With its peekaboo sleeves and relaxed fit, this top is flattering on a wide variety of figures and can be worn for a night out or even as a beach coverall--consider this your go-to Summer top! The collection also features a fabulous scarf/shawl, a long, lace vest, and a basic warm weather tank that features the increasingly popular high-low hemline.

The SUSANNA SCARF will quickly become your favorite warm weather accessory. It only requires two balls of CRISTALLO to complete and features a crossover drop stitch pattern, making for fast knitting that looks far more complicated that it actually is. This great scarf is light and airy, complements of CRISTALLO and the unique stitchwork--a perfect, drop-dead gorgeous Spring accessory!
