This policy was approved in the September Board OF Education meeting.
The schools are to count these as 10% in 2012, move to 15% in 2013, and be at the full 20% of the student's final grad in 2014 to put us in line with KDE Expectations. This policy was approve by the BOE in September Meeting.

CONGRATULATIONS
Kris Gillis: Please join me in extending a hearty "KUDOS!!" to our own Kris Gillis who was selected as an Ashland Teacher Achievement Award Winner! He will be recognized in the Capital Rotunda in Frankfort on Wed. Oct. 17th. This is an quite an impressive achievement, and I am sure that I speak for us all when I say, "We are so proud of you, Kris!!"
Radio Club: Congrats to all these students who tested with K4CO The Northern Kentucky Amateur Radio Club and obtained an amateur radio license. Each of these will be testing for a higher class license on November 8th when KY7ET The Kentucky District Seven Emergency Team and K4CO The Northern Kentucky Amateur Radio Club will have sixteen volunteer examiners here at Dixie proving testing for the Radio Technology Classes. To date Dixie has licensed 102 students, two teachers, and one parent in the past four years
