If your program needs to notify CoAEMSP of a change in key personnel, please review the
process found on our website, and review the list of required supporting documentation that may be associated with a change/addition to specific key personnel positions.
CoAEMSP has developed a template letter that may be used for the
required signed/dated letter of appointment/acceptance for changes or additions in specific key personnel positions (i.e. Program Director, Medical Director, Associate Medical Director, Assistant Medical Director, or Lead Instructor). The newly developed
template letter is also posted on our website. Use of the template is not required; however, the hope is it will be a helpful resource in providing the required supporting personnel documentation.
With the implementation of the 2015 CAAHEP Standards, effective January 1, 2016, programs have the option of identifying the following
new key personnel positions
(Standard III.B.3, 4, 6):
- Associate Medical Director (a physician delegated by the Medical Director to fulfill certain responsibilities)
- Assistant Medical Director (physicians required when students are sent out of state for clinical/field internships)
- Lead Instructor
Any program wishing to add any of these three (3)
new key personnel positions, MUST submit the required personnel documentation outlined on the website for review/approval. These new positions are an addition to our contact records; therefore, to add a new key position, the program must submit the required personnel documentation.
