The CoAEMSP Board of Directors approved new interpretations during its July 31-August 1, 2015, meeting. The interpretations focus on the Advisory Committee, Preceptor Training / Orientation, student evaluation, validity and reliability, outcomes report, publication of Letter of Review Status, and agreements with Consortium sponsors.

The companion document, the "CoAEMSP Interpretations of the CAAHEP Standards and Guidelines" contains the CAAHEP Standards and Guidelines for the Accreditation of Educational Programs in the Emergency Medical Services Professions with CoAEMSP interpretations adopted by CoAEMSP through policies. The interpretations are NOT part of the CAAHEP Standards and Guidelines document and are subject to change by CoAEMSP. Policy revisions may occur often, so this document should be reviewed frequently to ensure the most current version.

CAAHEP Fees Increase July 2016
.........................................................................................................................................
CAAHEP Staff Contact: Kathleen Megivern, [email protected]
.........................................................................................................................................

This is a reminder that CAAHEP's institutional fees will increase effective for the year that begins July 1, 2016. This is the first increase in over 15 years! The fee will be raised from $450 per year to $550 per year. This is the fee paid by every institution that sponsors one or more CAAHEP-accredited programs.

Kathleen Megivern, JD, CAAHEP Executive Director, said, "The increase in institutional fees will not take place until July 1, 2016, so that our educational institutions will have adequate time to budget for the increase no matter when their fiscal year begins. Programs and institutions will receive notices throughout the coming year as reminders to prepare for the new fee structure."

Any educational institution or CAAHEP accredited program with questions on the new institutional fee should contact the CAAHEP office for assistance.
