In early May the 2015-16 invoice for the annual accreditation fee was emailed
to programs that are CAAHEP accredited, hold the CoAEMSP Letter of Review, or are in the process of seeking accreditation. The annual accreditation Fee of $1,400 was due July 1, and is considered late if not postmarked by July 31.

An Additional Processing Fee invoice of $500
will be sent in August for past due Annual Accreditation Fees. The increase in Additional Processing Fees is noted on the Fees page of our website.

If your program requires that a Purchase Order appear on the invoice,
email this request immediately to ruth@coaemsp.org.

The CoAEMSP does not waive processing fees. Do not delay, pay today!

NOTE! Unfortunately, we cannot accept credit cards.

Reference Your Program Number When Contacting Us!
When contacting the CoAEMSP via email or telephone, reference your CoAEMSP Program Number, which will begin with 600xxx. Almost 800 programs are either seeking or maintaining accreditation. Many programs have similar names and in some cases, the names are the same.  The Program Number prevents potential problems and ensures the CoAEMSP staff is answering questions based on the correct program.
CAAHEP/CoAEMSP Require Publication of Outcomes Results
....................................................................................................................

.....................................................................................................................
In January 2015, CAAHEP made a change to Standard V.A.4 in the accreditation Standards for all its professions.  The language in the EMS-Paramedic Standards now states:

V. Fair Practices
A. Publications and Disclosure
4.    The sponsor must maintain, and make available to the public current and consistent summary information about student/graduate achievement that includes the results of one or more of the outcomes assessments required in these Standards.

Guideline: The sponsor should develop a suitable means of communicating to the communities of interest the achievement of students/graduates (e.g. through a website or electronic or printed documents).

For programs to be in compliance with the new Standard, CoAEMSP adopted the following policy:

All programs must publish, preferably in a readily accessible place on their websites, the 3-year review-window average results of the outcomes for: National Registry (or State, as applicable) Written and Practical Exams, Retention, and Positive Placement.

At all times, the published results must be consistent with and verifiable by the online Annual Report of the program.

Each year in the Comments tab of the Annual Report, the program must state the website link (or other publication) where its results are published.

The publication of the outcomes results must be completed no later than December 31, 2015 and the link must be included in the 2015 Annual Report.
Request for Approval of a Satellite Location is Necessary for EACH Cohort!
.....................................................................................................................
Staff Contact: Lynn Caruthers, lynn@coaemsp.org or 214-703-8445, x115
.....................................................................................................................

Do you offer an off-campus location of the Paramedic program where students can complete the laboratory (or similar hands-on skills) professional course(s) without attending the main campus? Are you planning to add a satellite campus? Do you have approval from the CoAEMSP to conduct the cohort of students?

The completed Request for Approval form must be submitted, in advance, for each class for each satellite location.

CoAEMSP verifies directly with the NREMT, the eligibility of graduates from each satellite location. Failure to obtain prior CoAEMSP approval may result in the graduates from the location/class not being eligible for the national examinations for the Paramedic.

Get more information here. Questions about this form and about the approval process may be directed to Lynn Caruthers at 214-703-8445, ext 115 or lynn@coaemsp.org.

Complete the Request for Approval form.

What is a Program Satellite? Satellite programs are considered to be off-campus location(s) that are advertised or otherwise made known to individuals outside the sponsor where students can complete the laboratory (or similar hands-on skills) professional course(s) without attending the main campus.

A satellite does not pertain to sites used by a completely on-line/distance education program for individual students. Satellite(s) are included in the CAAHEP accreditation of the sponsor and function under the direction of the Key Personnel of the program. [Policy IX.3]
