JANUARY 2014

Response to Findings Letter & Progress Reports Due March 1

Do you have a progress report due March 1? Have you recently hosted a site visit and have a response to the site visit findings due March 1? If so, be sure to submit it no later than March 1 to prevent a recommendation for probation or a withhold of accreditation.

Also, you must submit it as a single PDF document to Karen at karen@coaemsp.org.

Find helpful resources here.
Reminder!
Satellite Annual Fees Go Into Effect July 1

Effective July 1, 2014, each program that has a satellite will be assessed an additional $500 per satellite per year. This fee covers the additional administrative costs associated with satellite campuses.

The CoAEMSP defines a program satellite campus as an:

off-campus location(s) that are advertised or otherwise made known to individuals outside the sponsor where students can complete the laboratory (or similar hands-on skills) professional course(s) without attending the main campus. A satellite does not pertain to sites used by a completely on-line/distance education program for individual students. Satellite(s) are included in the CAAHEP accreditation of the sponsor and function under the direction of the Key Personnel of the program.

CoAEMSP approval of a program satellite requires:
  • Submission by the sponsor of a CoAEMSP Request for Approval of a Satellite Location form.
  • Upon review of the Request for Approval information, the Executive Director will determine any additional review activities, including but not limited to:
  1. submission of a Satellite Self Study Report to CoAEMSP
  2. a site visit of the satellite location.
Once accreditation is extended by CAAHEP to a satellite location, future re-accreditation review activities will be coordinated with re-accreditation of the main campus location.

The Executive Director will determine whether a separate annual report (separate CoAEMSP program ID#) will be required for the satellite location or whether the satellite cohorts can be included in the main campus annual report.
100% of Programs Submitted Annual Reports on Time!

First: Congratulations on 100% submission! Thank you to all of the CAAHEP-accredited Paramedic programs for submitting your annual report on time!

Second: The next step is the CoAEMSP will review the annual reports. Each year the CoAEMSP reviews each AR and initiates an accreditation dialogue commensurate with the results of the outcomes assessments. As part of that review for each of the outcomes, the CoAEMSP is evaluating Thresholds, which are numerical values against which programs' outcomes results are compared.
