20 Days and Counting: It's Crunch Time at the CoAEMSP Offices
With implementation of the accreditation initiative just days away, the staff has been working non-stop to review the LSSR/ISSRs submitted by paramedic education programs seeking accreditation.
To process as many LSSR/ISSRs as possible, a "Fast Track" LoR procedure has been implemented in which Executive Director George Hatch reviews a program's core content first, then writes and sends the Executive Analysis to the program at a later date. Typically, staff would handle no more than 3 or 4 in a week, but George is reviewing 6 or 7 a day. Once documents are reviewed by the Executive Director, they are then immediately sent to the CoAEMSP Chairman Doug York, who reviews the materials and signs off on them within 24 hours or less.
