Greetings!

Have you noticed the snow is falling. It's holiday season again!

Where does the time go when you are busy with family, friends, and yes your jobs? Our team here at NBP in beautiful Claremont, California, is getting ready to ring in the New Year. The books will close in December which, as we all know, will be here before you can say "start shopping!"

This is our final newsletter of 2014 and it has been a pleasure

Steven Ozuna

brining this to you. Team NBP is putting the last minute details on our plan to smoothly move us into 2015 and beyond. New faces have joined our group along with upgrades in the manufacturing and production (new ERP System). Our marketing team is in the process of designing a new website and making travel plans and procurement is ongoing and flowing well. The engineering/service groups are in the middle of R & D and proposal mode. All the while, the accounting team is crunching the year end numbers.

But as they say in show biz, the curtain closes one day and opens again the next. Such is the life, here at NBP, we are steadfastly on our way into the 49th year in the aviation business. So when you are out there running about for that last gift or heading frantically to your in-laws for the joyous family gathering, just remember, you are not alone. We are right there with you!

Happy Holiday!

Industry News

Argos Ingegneria is an Italian company specializing in photometric calibration systems for Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL). Argos currently has equipment being utilized in over 20 countries across Europe, Asia, the Americas, Africa, and the Middle East. Argos and NBP began working together when the company approached NBP looking to test their SMF PAPI, a portable device allowing a PAPI (Precision Approach Path Indicator) to be quickly and easily aligned in the field, eliminating the need for a flight check, with NBP's new LED PAPI.

Upon successful demonstration, talks began about how NBP could bring these two technologies together in ways that will not only be cost effective, but also increase the safety of aviation around the globe.

NBP News

In May, an NBP crew consisting of Ken Harter, Noe Rivera, Tien Tran, Jesus Luna, Ken Castellanos and Tony Gonzales were in Tulsa Oklahoma Airport to install Replacement Lamp Monitoring Systems (RLMS). The installation crew of six has over 145 years of experience at NBP.

RLMS, sometimes referred to as a "Sustainment Program" is a modification system to existing Airflo and Godfrey ALSF-2 systems. This modification provides a practical, working and approved method for monitoring all brightness steps thereby improving and facilitating ALSF-2 service and operational maintenance.

Giving Back

In September, NBP graciously contributed to NATCA Charitable Foundation. Our donation sponsored a tree/plant that will be used in the convention hall during the 2014 NATCA Biennial Convention. If you attended the Denver Convention in 2012, you will remember NFC's Show Your Roots campaign that benefited Habitat for Humanity.

The tree/plant will be donated to Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity for use in their St. Paul urban development project. Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity envisions a Twin Cities region where every family can own a home in a healthy neighborhood that supports good job and education for all.

"During layovers, I often find myself observing the activity on the runway and thinking that I'd love to see this from above. With a creative block on a project, I took to Google mapping airports and was enamored by the beautiful satellite shots on my screen. Since then, wanderlust has often inspired me to get lost in the satellite imagery of various destinations even when I'm glued to my desk," writes O'Neill.
