Like water running through a creek, 2012 is quickly passing us by... To all our friends and clients we thank you for your support, and for sharing this past year with us. With that in mind, we also want to welcome our newest Canadian owners, Michel and Luigi from Montreal, to the Rivera Cuale family! We wish them lots of happiness in their new dream home.
December is here, and with it come the Holidays! Vallarta is vibrant with the start of the high season. The beautiful markets and the streets are once again full of life, highlighted by one of Vallarta's most beautiful traditions, the Christmas Holiday processions in honor of the Virgin of Guadalupe. Along with the festive displays and performances come the many food and craft vendors that set-up shop along the way and in the town's main square. There you can find delicious Mexican food and beautiful regional crafts. This is truly is a beautiful time in the city!

REMAINING UNITS AVAILABLE
Yes, it's true, more and more units at Rivera Cuale are gone. But not to worry, they are going to good homes! Er, we mean they are going to good owners! Confusing? Not really. All you need to remember is that the homes and the owners are happy, and we now have just a very few units left for sale. If you've been thinking about making one of them yours, we encourage you to act quickly before someone beats you to it! The article below will bring you all of our excellent variety of remaining condos still available. Click on the unit of your choice to see the floor plan.
Unit 101-A, is the final opportunity to own our most popular D floor plan condo. This is a two bedroom, two bath garden level corner unit of 1882 sq ft. What makes this condo truly unique is the huge terrace, nearly 700 sq ft, ideal for gracious entertaining. It features a jetted private dipping pool surrounded by lush tall plants offering beauty and privacy as well as direct access to the swimming pool area.
If you are still looking for a 2 bedroom condo, we have 3 very flexible and economical Type E condos. These nearly 1000 sq ft condos are corner units in the back. The units on levels 4 & 5 feature side terraces and lovely views.
The design of floor plan E allows this to be configured as a very generous 1 bedroom, 1.5 bath space, or for an additional fee, as a 2 bedroom, 2 bath at a very affordable price.

THE GUADALUPE PROCESSIONS
My absolute favorite time of the year in Puerto Vallarta is the Guadalupe Processions. To judge from the onlookers, most Vallartans share my feelings. This is by far the most interesting cultural event that we have in our city. For twelve days, from December 1st to 12th, the Guadalupe Cathedral in the center of Puerto Vallarta (the church with the crown) receives procession after procession, each accompanied by a float bearing a young woman representing the Virgin of Guadalupe, a green shroud bedecked with golden stars covering her head, These processions continue from afternoon until midnight or later every day. There are literally hundreds during the twelve days.
It does create a bit of havoc with downtown traffic. But from Rivera Cuale Condominiums, enjoying the processions is hassle free. A short walk into town, 15 minutes max, and you are at the Cathedral; no traffic jams, no parking problems. Enjoy the floats, take photos, taste the traditional foods on the square, and then a short easy walk back home.
A brief history of the visitation of the Virgin:
The appearance of Our Lady of Guadalupe to the Aztec Indian Juan Diego in December of 1531 generated the conversion of Mexico, Central and South America to Catholicism. Indeed, the Blessed Virgin Mary entered the very life stream of Central America and became an inextricable part of Mexican life and a central figure to the history of Mexico itself.

In Puerto Vallarta, literally every colonia, business, hotel, union, organization or association organizes its own float to march to the beautifully decorated church, proudly bearing a banner with the group name, carrying candles and chanting the familiar Guadalupana refrain. As each procession arrives, the Virgin is lifted off the float and the whole group enters the church to be blessed by the priest. Bells ring joyously each time a procession arrives. |
