We are excited to announce that Ann Conkle has joined SMMEF as the new Communications and Events Manager. Ann comes to us from California State University, Northridge, where she was a Development Communications Specialist and Outreach and Engagement Officer.
Rachel Faulkner, SMMEF's Associate Director, will now work closely with school and PTA leaders on our fundraising efforts and cultivate SMMEF's leadership gifts.

SMMEF FUNDRAISING TO DATE
|
As of December 31, 2014, SMMEF has raised $1,361,949 toward our $4 million goal. 22.6% of SMMUSD families have donated so far.
We have until June 30, 2014 to meet our goal. However, in mid-March SMMUSD will make important staff and program decisions for next school year, based on funds received. The timing of donations is critical.
Your donations to SMMEF pay for instructional assistants, literacy coaches, elementary arts programs, additional class sections in middle and high school, important teacher training, and enrichment programs at YOUR school and every school. If you haven't yet contributed, please donate today to keep these programs for our students next year. Thank you!

FOR THE ARTS CONCERT - SAVE THE DATE!

SMMEF's beloved For The Arts Concert is on February 7th! Join us for an incredible evening as COLIN HAY (Men at Work), STEPHEN BISHOP (hits include On and On, Separate Lives) and VENICE perform in Barnum Hall at Santa Monica High School.
At this inspiring concert, our talented student musicians perform alongside these artists and all proceeds benefit the arts in our schools!
